Earl Goodpasture was labeled America’s # 1 trail boss by Art several years ago. He deserved the honor - he was the best and we sure hope he attends this 20th.

 

 

 

 
Back to Blackwater in Panhandle of Florida next February

The National Trail Ride Association is proud to be back in the Blackwater State Forest near Milton Florida in February. In fact, we were able to host the 07 ride there this past February. We have been going to Blackwater
for 13 years and only left because the park was so destroyed by the hurricane.

So, mark it on your calendar … Your National Back to Blackwater next February.
 
Broxton Bridge Plantation owner passes

One of the best friends this National ever had passed from this earth Monday night July 8th. Jerry Varn was a true Southerner … a great athlete, and most important … one of the best friends Art Howell ever had. I will miss you Jerry.

We are supposed to return to Broxton Bridge for a fall ride this Thanksgiving weekend. We will forward you more information on this ride next thanksgiving as soon as we can.


Art remembers everything about this senior teamster, except his name. He is from Indiana
and showed up at the Florida Panhandle Ride with a good team of mules and wagon. He
was 98 years old then… can you help us identify him?
